[English] Expomanga 2013 took place last week, from May 10th to 12th. This time we had a commercial booth shared between C★R and the recently founded publishing house NeoDragon. Aiwa, AnaKris, Nevee and Ninamo attended the event to sell their goods along with those of Harobako, CyberSaku and Yuemi22, who did not attend in person.

On their own, NeoDragon presented and sold for the first time the girl’s love themed manga Cross Heart by AnaKris. This time it’s a new edition in Spanish that collects all the existing material of Cross Heart in a single volume. This is no longer the self edited volume we have been selling up to now in C★R, but a definitive edition made by the hands of a professional publisher. You can find more details on their website.

[Español] Expomanga 2013 tuvo lugar la semana pasada del 10 al 12 de mayo. Esta vez tuvimos un stand de tipo comercial compartido entre C★R y la recién fundada editorial NeoDragon. Aiwa, AnaKris, Nevee y Ninamo asistieron al evento y estuvieron vendiendo sus cosas junto a las de Harobako, CyberSaku y Yuemi22, quienes no estuvieron presentes.

Por su cuenta, NeoDragon presentó y vendió por primera vez el manga de temática girl’s love Cross Heart de AnaKris. Esta vez se trata de una nueva edición en español que recopila todo el material existente de Cross Heart en un solo volumen. Este no es ya el volumen auto editado que hemos estado vendiendo hasta ahora en C★R, sino una edición definitiva de manos de una editorial profesional. III Salón del Manga de Alicante (photos)

[English] The III Salón del Manga de Alicante took place last weekend from March 23th to 24th. The poster for this Spanish convention was illustrated by Ninamo and she was invited to the event for that reason. We also had a C★R’s booth, mainly with Ninamo’s goods (here you can see a few photos of it).

Thank you very much to the Salón del Manga de Alicante staff for their warm welcome and attentions. We had a great time and hope to return another year!

[Español] El III Salón del Manga de Alicante tuvo lugar este pasado fin de semana del 23 al 24 de marzo. El cartel del salón fue ilustrado por Ninamo y por este motivo fue invitada a asistir al evento. También tuvimos un stand de C★R, mayoritariamente con artículos de Ninamo (aquí podéis ver unas cuantas fotos del stand).

Muchas gracias a la organización del Salón del Manga de Alicante por su cálida bienvenida y sus atenciones. ¡Nos lo pasamos muy bien y esperamos volver otro año!

Farewells and homecomings

Starting with the farawells: Kenneos decided to leave the circle due to her duties on her new work. She’s currently working on Ediciones Babylon, a Spanish publisher. You can find prints, notebooks, t-shirts and other goods with her illustrations in Ediciones Babylon. We wish her the best in this new path she started!!

We’ll continue selling her merchandising and books in C★R’s online store until the stock is sold out. Remember you can also follow her on her deviantART and her other accounts in social networks (you can check them at the end of the Members section).

Ero★Pinku‘s art never leaves anyone indifferent. She can draw the most handsome and erotic men and the most sweet and cheerful boys. She’s a BL lover! Check her galleries.

Last year she won the annual Norma Editorial Manga Contest and she’s now working with her partner Saga on an original manga called “Dae-Hyun y el caldero de monedas de oro” that will be released on Spain at the end of the year. They are also writting an official blog with their progress and some tutorials about how to draw manga here (only in Spanish, sorry).

She has also drawn some posters for the Spanish conventions Salón del Manga de Gran Canaria and Festival del Manga de Las Palmas, worked for Kamikaze Factory Studio in various publications and drawn several novel covers for Yaoi Press, among others.

Isaky is our youngest member now. She has a cute and dynamic style and awesome coloring. She has been well known on deviantART for her Sonic drawings until she decided to leave the fandom and to focus on more kind of drawings. Now it’s been a year since that decision and her improvement in that short period of time is amazing!!

She illustrated several posters for conventions, and recently won the poster contest for the V Salón del Manga de Murcia.

Kuro-e artbook: Challenge (Terms and Conditions)

A year ago, NYA ediciones organized and sold an artbook called Kuro-e, that had an exceptional display of up to 20 different Spanish artists. This compilation, featuring the theme “night”, was organized through deviantART and the participants went through an exhaustive selection. The result was a stunning book of about 80 pages, around 30 color illustrations, a bunch of sketches and interviews with all authors.

Kuro-e was well received in the various events in Spain (Barcelona, Madrid, Murcia …) where it was sold, as well as in Paris (Japan Expo), London (MCM London) and worldwide through Internet. Also two exhibitions were held, one in Expotaku Sabadell and one in the II Salón del Manga de Alicante.

Finally, after a whole year full of sales, we finished the first stage of Kuro-e. This time, is CYCLIC★REDUNDANCY who takes over the project and brings you the Terms and Conditions for the new Kuro-e: Kuro-e artbook: Challenge (working title). True to its original philosophy, this new book will remain as a self-published nonprofit publication, printed using the benefits left behind by the first Kuro-e, and will serve, above all, to promote the Spanish artists. Once again we publish a compilation that works as a bridge between the Spanish young creatives and the rest of the world.

Hace ya un año NYA ediciones organizó y lanzó a la venta un artbook llamado Kuro-e que contaba con un excepcional muestrario de hasta 20 artistas españoles distintos. El recopilatorio, que llevaba por tema principal “la noche”, fue organizado a través de deviantART y pasó por una exhaustiva selección de participantes. El resultado fue un impresionante libro de alrededor de 80 páginas, casi 30 ilustraciones a color, un buen puñado de bocetos y entrevistas a todos los autores.

Kuro-e tuvo muy buena acogida y se vendió en varios eventos de España (Barcelona, Madrid, Murcia…), París (Japan Expo), Londres (MCM London) y por Internet a todo el mundo. También tuvo dos exposiciones, una en Expotaku Sabadell y otra en el II Salón del Manga de Alicante.

Finalmente, después de todo un año de ventas, damos por concluida la primera etapa de Kuro-e. Esta vez es CYCLIC★REDUNDANCY quien toma las riendas del proyecto y os trae las bases para el nuevo Kuro-e: Kuro-e artbook: Challenge (título provisional). Fiel a su filosofía inicial, este nuevo libro seguirá siendo una publicación autoeditada sin ánimo de lucro, impresa gracias a los beneficios que ha dejado tras de sí el primer Kuro-e y que servirá, por delante de todo, para promocionar los dibujantes españoles. Queremos publicar, una vez más, un recopilatorio que sirva de puente de unión entre los jóvenes creativos españoles y el resto del mundo.

XVIII Salón del Manga de Barcelona (photos and review)

From November 1th to 4th was held the XVIII Salón del Manga de Barcelona in Spain. This was the second time we attend as CYCLIC★REDUNDANCY, but this year we had two separate booths: the first one (the first two photos) with the presence of Aiwa, Nevee and Ninamo, and the second one (the last photo) with AnaKris, Kenneos and Harobako. Thank you very much to all the people to come to visit our booths. It was a pleasure to attend again a big convention like this to sell. The official media says it had 112,000 visitors in total (70% more than last year) – this was a huge improvement!!

We would like to announce that Cross Heart Extended was sold out during the second day. The English edition (Cross Heart) is still available in our online store, but there are very few remaining copies.

In the other hand, the preorder period of Touhou Project: Imperishable Night 2013 Calendar has ended. Now, normal orders started.

    Japan Expo 2012 (photos and review)

    From July 5th to 8th was held Japan Expo 2012 in Paris, France. We had a booth as CYCLIC★REDUNDANCY with the presence of Aiwa, Kenneos, Nevee, Ninamo and Lisco. More info about what we were selling here.

    We want to thank everyone who came to see us. We meet a lot of kind people from all countries (in special French and Japanese people). It was a really nice experience and we had lots of fun. We wish to come back next year!




    Special thanks to people from Touhou.net (French Touhou community), who welcomed us in their particular ‘Touhou corner’. Special thanks also to people from Border of Gensokyo (Spanish Touhou community) with whom we traveled and helped us with the booth.
